Before creating your first test, you need to set up your School Profile. To access the School Profile, press the Teacher menu and then press the School Profile sub menu as shown above in the application.
The Edit School Profile screen is then displayed as shown below.
The following describes each field 1 through 8 and how it is used in the application.
(1) ** Mandatory ** As mentioned above, press the dropdown arrow to choose a School Year. This value is stored on all future student tests and projects. At the beginning of the next school year, you must first change this value to the next School Year (usually beginning in the Fall) before your students take any future tests.
(2) ** Mandatory ** The School Name is the name of your school. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(3) Address Line 1 is either your school's street address or location such as, for example, the name of an apartment complex. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(4) Address Line 2 is either your school's street address or left blank if the street address was entered in Address Line 1. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(5) City is the city location of your school. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(6) State is the state location of your school. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(7) Zipcode is the zipcode location of your school. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(8) Phone Number is the phone number associated with your school. This value is used in the header of generated reports.
(9) Group Student Email Address is a group email used in conjunction with (10) the Group Student Email Notification to override the individual student emails entered on the student page.
Note: If Group Student Email Notification and Student Email Notification not checked, no student gets an email.
If the (10) Group Student Email Notification is checked and the (15) Student Email Notification is not checked, the (9) Group Student Email will be used.
If the (10) Group Student Email Notification is not checked and the (15) the Student Email Notification is checked, use student's email will be used.
If the (15) the Student Email Notification is checked and the student's email notification is NOT checked, the student will not get an email.
(10) Group Student Email Notification when checked will send your students email notifications described below using the (9) Group Student Email Address, regardless if the student has an individual email address or not.
The following describes each field 10 through 19 and how it is used in the application.
(11) Teacher Email Notification when checked will send you, the teacher, email notifications about your student's activities described below.
(12) Student Test Started when checked will send you, the teacher, an email when your student has begun as assigned test.
(13) Student Test Completed when checked will send you, the teacher, an email when your student has completed an assigned test.
(14) Student Test Graded when checked will send you, the teacher, an email when you have graded a student's test.
(15) Student Email Notification when checked will send your students email notifications described below. Only students that have an email assigned along with their email notifications active on their student profile will receive emails.
(16) Student Test Assigned when checked will send an email to your student that has been assigned to take a test.
(17) Student Test Graded when checked will send an email to your student when their test has been graded.
(18) Project Graded when checked will send an email to your student when their project has been entered and graded.
(19) To save the School Profile, press the Save button. A message will display indicating that the profile was saved successfully. Hovering over the button will display a tooltip as shown below.
Print when pressed will produce the School Profile report which is an exact carbon copy of the School Profile page. The report will generate in a new window or tab. Once the report is rendered, you will be able to export the report to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, a PDF, Tiff, MHTML (web archive), CSV (comma delimited), XML file with report data, and a Data Feed. The report is found under the Reports menu - Report 021.
NOTE:
If the School Profile has not yet been initially saved, the School Year in the dropdown list defaults to a date range based on the current year and whether the current month is less than or greater than September. Of course, you can change the School Year to whatever date range you want. The School Year selected will be stored on all future student tests (The actual test taken by your student, not the master test). After the School Profile is saved, upon returning to the School Profile screen, the School Year last saved will display as the selected value in the dropdown list. It is Important to remember to change the School Year (along with your students school grade level (K-12) prior to the beginning of the next school year calendar.
